GravityPeople was founded in May of 1998 with the goal of creating the first professional services firm for recruiting. At that time our client focus was technology startups in the Silicon Valley. In 2002, we started building our own software technology that would enable us to analyze and monitor the quality and speed of our recruiting services. In 2004, we publicly launched this technology, Newton.
In recent years, we have expanded our client base beyond technology and now serve other industries across the United States including financial services, retail, green technology, and life sciences.

FedEx was founded in 1972. Imagine what it was like to send an overnight letter that "absolutely, positively" had to get there in 1971. Now imagine trying to recruit a team of software developers without even a Post Office of recruiting. You now have just imagined the status quo for the recruiting industry.
Like FedEx started to change shipping in 1972, we've started to change recruiting. We feel that for all the money companies spend on recruiting, they need a better, modern option. Our technology enables us to deliver reliable and consistent recruiting services (and like Fed-Ex, we don't require our clients to learn how to use recruiting software). GravityPeople is the company to call when you "absolutely, positively" must make hires.
GravityPeople is headquartered in San Francisco. We have offices in Salt Lake City, Utah and a technology development office in Shanghai. Today, GravityPeople employs 40+ professionals. We were recognized as one of the Bay Area’s 50 fastest growing privately held companies in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
